Anyone on here completely teetotal? Why did you make the change?
Seriously considering it. Not because i have a problem as can quite easily go a month without booze, more like when i do go out and drink i always drink to excess and get drunk. It seems that there is nothing good in drink - you make a idiot out of yourself when drunk and get the fear the next day. Its pretty pointless.

Going teetotal will not resolve the underlying issue, you will just be putting a plaster over it and it will rear it's evil head someplace else later on. Solve the issue first then decide whether you should be tee-total or not.

I had an alcoholic drink when I was 18 and never touched a drop since.
I'm now 46 but everyone still asks why I don't drink,sometimes I tell them I'm a recovering alcoholic just to see the looks on their faces.
The truth is much more boring,I just don't like the taste.

I have only recently been treating myself to the odd glass of Merlot...I can take it or leave it though, could quite happily live without booze.

Fair play mate but arent you being a bit dismissive of all drinks just because you didnt enjoy a warm can of hofmeister in 1990? Some of the most pleasurable tastes can be found in a good wine of single malt scotch, you dont have to get twatted.

Went without for 10 months. Could do it again.
And I love a booze.
Not the be all and end all.
